Parking near the Convention Center District.
The Austin Convention Center closed in April 2025 for demolition and a full rebuild, and the new building is not expected to open until 2029. There are no conventions there in the meantime, and the blocks around the site carry construction closures. The hotels in the district still host meetings, weddings and guests, including the Hilton Austin on 4th Street and the JW Marriott on Congress at 2nd. They are about fifteen to eighteen minutes on foot from our gate, well outside the construction ring.
Flat sidewalk, lit overnight. Park at 715 Nueces, walk straight to the Convention Center District and back.
