After October, everything feels calm. November is not actually calm. It has the final Longhorns home game of the regular season, a festival that puts tents on the Capitol lawn two blocks from us, the best Spanish-language show of the fall, and a holiday week that empties downtown out completely.

The Book Festival is the walkable one
This is the weekend our location does the most work. The Texas Book Festival sets up on the Capitol grounds with tents along 11th and Congress, plus sessions in the churches and libraries around the Capitol. It closes 11th and Congress for two days. From our gate it is a flat seven minute walk, and you are walking toward the closures rather than trying to drive through them.
It is a two day festival where people wander between venues all afternoon. Park once, walk in, walk back for something in the car, walk in again. That is what in and out access is for.
Election Day, November 3
We are seven minutes from the Capitol and a short walk from the county offices. If you are voting downtown or working a polling place, the hourly rate covers a quick trip and the gate is open before polls open and after they close. That is the whole message. Go vote.
The last home game
November 21 against Arkansas is the final home game of the regular season, and Lyle Lovett is playing the Moody Theater the same night. Two crowds, one downtown, one Saturday. The kickoff time sits in a conference flex window that will not be set until well into December, so do not plan around a time you saw somewhere.
Then it goes quiet
The week of Thanksgiving, downtown empties. UT and Austin ISD are both out, the offices thin out, and the streets belong to whoever wants them. It is genuinely the easiest week of the year to park downtown, and a good week to come see the lot if you are thinking about going monthly in January.
If you are downtown more than five days a month
At the all-day rate, five visits costs more than a month of guaranteed access. The weekday plan covers Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 7 PM. The all-access plan covers nights, weekends and event days, which is the one that matters during a month like this. Both are month to month, and you can cancel by phone or email.
Posted rates are starting prices and are subject to change. During citywide events (SXSW, ACL, F1, UT football, and Capitol session weekends) rates may increase. We post current pricing at the lot entrance and on this page.
