September is when the fall actually starts. There are three Longhorns home games in the first three weekends, and the middle one is a primetime national game against Ohio State that will bring tens of thousands of people to Austin who have never parked here before.

Game day, honestly

We are not going to tell you we are a short walk to the stadium. We are not. DKR is about a mile and a half from here and nobody is walking that in September heat before a 2:30 kickoff.

What we are is the place you park once. Leave the car at 7th and Nueces, spend the afternoon on West 6th one block away, ride up to campus, come back down after the game, and leave whenever you feel like leaving. One all-day ticket, in and out as many times as you want, and a gate that is still open at midnight. The garages closest to campus lock, and they empty into the same three streets at the same moment.

Ohio State weekend, September 12

This is the single biggest downtown day of the fall. Kickoff is 6:30 PM, which means the whole day is a downtown day before anyone goes near the stadium. If you are coming in for it, plan your parking before that Friday.

Bat Fest closes the bridge

Bat Fest runs 3 to 11 PM on September 5 and closes the Congress Avenue bridge. It is the twentieth one. Worth knowing that we sit north of that closure, so getting to us does not involve crossing it.

Tribune Festival is the quiet one

The Texas Tribune Festival runs September 23 to 26 across the Congress Avenue corridor. It is a multi-venue, multi-day event with sessions spread across downtown, which is exactly the pattern that makes a single parking spot with in and out access worth more than a garage next to one venue. If you are attending all four days, this is the week the monthly math starts making sense.

If you are downtown more than five days a month

At the all-day rate, five visits costs more than a month of guaranteed access. The weekday plan covers Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 7 PM. The all-access plan covers nights, weekends and event days, which is the one that matters during a month like this. Both are month to month, and you can cancel by phone or email.

Event weekend pricing

Posted rates are starting prices and are subject to change. During citywide events (SXSW, ACL, F1, UT football, and Capitol session weekends) rates may increase. We post current pricing at the lot entrance and on this page.
