The 31st Texas Book Festival puts tents on the Capitol grounds and along 11th and Congress, with sessions in the churches and libraries around the Capitol. It closes 11th and Congress for two days.
A flat 7 minute walk to the Capitol grounds
Park at 715 Nueces Street, Austin, TX 78701. Gated entry runs 24 hours, so the car is never on a clock that runs out before you are done.
Where to park for Texas Book Festival
This is the weekend our location does the most work of the whole year. Seven flat minutes from the gate to the Capitol lawn, and you are walking toward the closures rather than trying to drive through them. It is a wander-between-venues festival, which is what in and out access is for.
October special: these rates hold every day from October 1 through October 31, ACL, F1 and UT game days included. Outside October, rates may increase during citywide events (SXSW, ACL, F1, UT football, and Capitol session weekends). We post current pricing at the lot entrance and on this page.
